I spent several evenings at this location on Galveston Island. I was working on two different paintings and loved every minute of both. To my delight there was an abundance of water fowl, life and beauty even accompanied by an owls hooting.
The large nocturnal hunter was on a power line directly over my head. I was able to capture its call and massive wingspan as it flew from its perch above me.
Spending time observing, creating and interacting in the open air is always worth it.
