"Last Rays" was painted over the course of two sunsets looking towards Jerome AZ. The fist block in was all about the sky. I returned the next evening at the same time of day and worked into the foreground using the color notes from the day before and trusting my memory of the feeling of that beautiful sunset and the last rays.
