Shovel Heads was created en Plein Air on a private property in the Hill Country of Texas. Every inch of the 25+ acre property has been touched, cultivated, beautified, and turned into something completely unique. We create our world and I delighted in the honor of occupying that created place. It was wonderful to be able to capture its unique charm and filter that through my lens and create this painting. Most of my creations occupy a small, two dimensional space, and I delight in the opportunity to experience environments that come from the imagination and labor of an individual. A living work of art that is experienced in three dimensions by all the senses.
