What was your first car? Do you remember the feeling of freedom and possibility that came with that? 'Sapphire' 18x24 was one of my favorite paintings from Paint the Town Plein Air Event. There is something about a classic car. This 57 Cadillac took me back to the days and time when the journey was what mattered and not necessarily the destination. Cars for me symbolize freedom! My first car, a 62 Ford Falcon, was my ticket to ride and I've been loving the journey ever since! I hope you feel in 'Saphire' the joy of pulling up and into the shade. The simple pleasures of experiencing the journey, the slower pace of days gone bye, and the open road calling to be explored.
