This painting was created over the course of two evenings at Port Salerno. There were six other painters out the first night and we enjoyed each other's company, the music drifting over from the local hotspot, and learning that this port is protected. Protected from development and preserved for the local fisherman. Generations have fished and provided for their families and the area's restaurants from this very dock.
The full Storm moon in this painting was not manufactured. It was actually there just peeking through the clouds that first night. The placement of the moon was shifted a bit west in this scene. The clouds in the early morning kept the lunar eclipse from being visible.
