Endings

I enjoyed two sunsets at this location in Horse Shoe Bay while painting this scene. I drove to the highest spot I could find and delighted in the view, the homeowners passing by and the quiet. It was with serene calm that I was able to reflect, not only on the ending of a day, but the endings of beloved things. This piece is a reminder that there is beauty in everything when we open up and look for it even in the freshness of its loss.
