This piece was created in plein air at Mule Shoe Bend State Park near Spicewood. I took me a while to find the blue bonnets in the area as it has been suffering from drought. I loved how the wild flowers grew where the water flowed and carved into the cliff. It was a beautiful day of solitude, quiet contemplation and gratitude for the splendor of Mother Nature and this world that I love.
