Seeking Joy (L)

‘Seeking Joy’ ........I know we find what we look for, and my expectations were sucking the joy out of my favorite thing. It had felt like a beautiful battle, one that I was loosing, before the quiet morning that I painted this little dyptic. I was in my pjs, outside painting just because I wanted to. This was a way that I could pause the critic shouting in my head and care for myself. ??????Just like we are instructed to do on a flight.... I was putting the oxygen mask over my face before I could assist others. Sometimes we need to allow ourselves a little grace. To recognize when we are out of air, and allow ourselves to come first. Will you allow yourself a little grace? You are worthy of it! What ways do you care for yourself?
