Undaunted

"Undaunted" is a painting of Chris Humphrey, the son of the incredible artist Leslie Humphrey. I brought period clothing for him to wear and started with the idea of a frontier romance. After the three hour session I went home and literally cleaned my pallet onto the canvas and this red scarf came to life. His profile reminded me of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith as he looks towards the dawn of a new day with courage and hope undaunted.
